At Fun in French, we believe language learning should feel like play. Our immersive, play-based workshops spark joy and curiosity, helping children connect with the French language and Francophone cultures through storytelling, songs, games, art, and hands-on projects.
The program was developed by an experienced bilingual educator with over 15 years of teaching in New York City schools, combining a deep understanding of language development with a child-centered, creative approach and child psychology.
Each workshop is thoughtfully designed by age group and led by warm, engaging instructors who make learning joyful, welcoming, and meaningful for everyone.
PreK Workshops:
A gentle and engaging introduction to French designed especially for our littlest learners. Children explore the language through sensory-rich stories, songs, crafts, and movement-based play. Ideal for families considering a Dual Language Program (DLP) or simply looking to plant the seeds of bilingualism.
K–2 Workshops:
These dynamic workshops take kids on a fun-filled journey across the Francophone world! Through music, cultural traditions, storytelling, and hands-on projects, children build vocabulary, practice speaking, and deepen their cultural awareness, entirely in French.
French Comic Book Club:
Join us for a relaxed and joyful French Comic Book Club for students in grades 3–5! Together, we'll explore some of the best youth comics and graphic novels from the French-speaking world, share our favorite stories, create our own comics, and strengthen our French through reading, conversation, and creative activities. With plenty of time for outdoor reading, snacks, and fun discussions, this club is the perfect place for young readers to build confidence in French while discovering exciting new books. Participants should be comfortable reading and writing independently in French.
What makes our program special:
• Small groups that foster connection and creativity
• Rich cultural experiences through engaging themes and projects
• Language brought to life through music, movement, and imaginative play
• A nurturing environment where kids build confidence en français
