In-Session Logistics

Welcome to Monitor Explorers! Below is what you need to know for a smooth term. 

Schedule Dates

The program runs most days when school is in session, excluding early dismissal days and listed excluded dates. The program does not run if school is closed (e.g. due to inclement weather). The session dates are:

• • Fall 2026 Term: Monday September 14 to Friday January 29.

  • Spring 2027 term: Monday February 1 to Friday June 25.

 The program runs from 2:30PM to either 5:00PM or 5:30PM Monday through Thursday, and from 2:30PM to 4:30PM on Fridays.

Daily Routine

Every session includes snack time, approximately 30 minutes of outdoor time (weather permitting), and enrichment activities. Please pack a snack for your child; we keep an emergency supply on hand in case they forget.

Absences and Pickup

If your child will be absent or you need to pick them up early, please contact our Afterschool Coordinator as soon as possible (see below). Early pickup takes place at the security desk inside the main entrance. Regular dismissal is from the Driggs Ave Yard at your designated dismissal time. Please also notify your child's classroom teacher and the school's attendance or parent coordinator (Ms. Chalkley) for absences.
